Thrive Learning takes place in the heart of Joy Farms, located at 6950 69th ST, Vero Beach, FL 32967

Our board of directors has two certified educators who have been in education for over 30 years, but because our program teaches farm-based entrepreneurial skills, we look for guides skilled in farming and entrepreneurship.  Our hiring policy emphasizes a passion for teaching and discipleship over certification.

We support parents in curating and securing curriculums and leave the farm and barns open for parents to utilize for academics if they choose, but we do not teach academics except life science as it relates to gardening, bee keeping,  and animal husbandry. Rather, our program connects academics to the real world allowing students to realize the importance of academics for achieving life skills.

Thrive is an independent learning community for homeschool families. We see Jesus as our ultimate guide to living the best version of the life we were created for.

Our curriculum is custom designed by our guides and staff and is often modified to fit the interests of individual students. We believe learning is best modeled in a one size fits one approach.

Thrive has room for between 20 and 30 students. We make accommodations in size to serve all students in a family wherever possible.

Rather than alphabetical or numerical grades, we assess your students on their determination to reach for their potential based on their willingness to face challenges and apply themselves to the task at hand.  Individual growth is readily seen as the students begin to open up to one another about their individual challenges in developing their projects. Students engage in self-assessment by journaling about their adherence to The Code of Conduct and evaluating their own progress.

We live by a CODE: Dig Deep. Sow Truth. Cultivate Courage. Live Pure. Grow Faith. Give Back.

Families are encouraged to develop their own codes of conduct and share them around the bonfire on the second Family Farm Day of each year.

Thrive meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Flex Fridays offer optional classes in art and other skills that are paid for outside of tuition. First Saturday each month, families gather for an afternoon at the farm where students prepare and serve a shared meal and the evening is closed with a special time at the bonfire. The farm and barns are open for families to use and enjoy anytime.

Call Thrive at (407)496-7416 to schedule a visit. We will send you an application and set up a time to interview your family in your home to ensure Thrive is a good fit for your family’s needs.

Tuition is $450 per month or $5400 per year. This fee includes full use of the farm, garden, and animal housing for the various student businesses, plus “farm cooked” lunches,  and Family Farm Day dinner and supplies. Flex Friday classes are optional and paid directly to the instructor. You can choose to pay tuition for the whole year and receive a 3%  ($162) discount or be billed monthly. Monthly tuition is due on the first of each month.
